The Lakeshore Economic Coalition is a catalyst for the continuing improvement of prosperity, opportunity, and other quality of life considerations such as employment, housing, education, health care, recreation and the natural environment in the City of Detroit.

The Lakeshore Economic Coalition exists to enhance the quality of life within the region by assisting established organizations with comprehensive broad-based development (economic, community, educational, leadership) efforts through partnerships.

Our Values

LEC is dedicated to reaching out to underserved citizens in the city of Detroit in order to provide access to skills, training, and educational programs that enrich their lives. Armed with 21st Century social skills, as a result of LEC, these men and women possess a higher level of self-esteem and better opportunities for self- sufficiency.
